potential caregiver, but being prepared can help rest your
fears. Bellow are some questions that can guide your
interviewing process and ensure that the most essential
questions are asked. Be sure to takes some notes during
the interviews to guide you in your decision-making process.
Family,
Values, and Interests:
- Tell
me about your family. Where did you grow up?
- How
would you describe your personality? Name some qualities
that are good about yourself as well as things you would
like to improve about yourself.
- What
do you enjoy doing with your family or on your own in
your spare time?
- What
are the values that you hold most dear in your own life
and in your home?
Education
and Nanny Work Experience:
- Tell
me about your education and/or any additional training
outside of school that you have?
- What
are your ultimate career goals? Do you have any plans
for future education?
- What
field experience do you have with children and what ages
have you worked with?
- Which
childcare experiences were the most valuable to you?
Why?
- What
were some setbacks or disappointments in a previous
childcare experience?
- How
would a past employer describe your work ethic?
- What
was your most recent work experience and why are you
considering new employment at this time?

Beliefs

activities that stimulate them physically and

Specifics
of the Job
- Any
special needs that the children might have.
